fast and furious 7 review

Fast And Furious  Seven is one of the better movies in the series. It still does not reach the greatness of the first movie but still it has its moments. For me personally seeing the street racers turning into some sort of vigilantes was unrealistic.    And the totally warped timelines created by the other movies only added to my confusion. Fast and the furious seven does not untangle the knots created by the complicated timelines. The Action is a mix of car racing and stunts and over the top gun battles. The plot of the movie is paperthin and to the fan boys out there this paper thin plot is sufficient. Fast and the furious seven has a surprisingly high score on rotten tomatoes. In fact it has a higher rotten tomatoes score than Interstellar(make of that what you will ....somewhere out there Christopher Nolan must be scratching his head and wondering if he should be making the next movie in the series). For those seeking quick thrills without too much Cerebral content this movie is perfect for you. This movie if possible should be seen in an IMAX as there are many action scenes in the movie. The visual effects are not much improved from the last two movies in the series. And one particular scene in which a car smashes out of a building and then enters another building doesn't look really impressive. Paul Walker's sad demise hangs over this movie amidst all the over-the-top actions there is the gloomy knowledge the audience  possess  of Paul Walker's demise. The franchise bids tearful adieu to Paul Walker in the final scene which is sure to bring tears to the eyes of the fan boys. This is perhaps one of the most poignant scenes in the movie. In conclusion I would like to say that fast and the furious seven is an exciting movie but don't expect anything groundbreaking. Personally my biggest problem with the series is that it doesnt try very hard to change the tried and tested formula. Instead of more innovative storylines the franchise is betting on adding more big name stars and having bigger explosions.
The first race in the movie has some of the qualities of the first Fast and Furious movie where the racing was realistic and gritty. Later movies in the franchise madee the races more and more unrealistic with the addition of CGI. Hopefully we may yet see a future Fast and the Furious movie which goes back to its street racing roots.
While Vin Diesel has claimed that this movie deserves an oscar for Best Picture and other articles being written with regard to this the question that one must ask is anything their in this movie which could not have been conceived of by a 12 year old boy? The answer is NO....so to give Fast and the Furious 7 the 'Best Picture' award for being extremely popular makes no sense
