The new Star Wars movie

The new Star Wars trailers have provoked a lot of excitement on the internet. There are many fans who are excited by the trailers, some are exercising caution and waiting for the finished product before making any sort of judgement. Seeing the trailers one thing is certain:they are going back to bring back elements from the old Star Wars trilogy including the X-Wings, Tie Fighters and AT-ATs. This is the right decision as these are what I would call the core elements of the Star Wars series. People loved these vehicles. Also featured prominently are the blasters used in the old series. The old blasters were distinctive looking and sounding. In the new trilogy we don't see that much focus on the blasters. In the old trilogy the storm-troopers and Han Solo carried very distinctive blasters.
JJ Abrams is also bringing back real vehicles to be used as props in the movie. The prequel trilogy used CGI for nearly everything. CGI was all the rage back then and was overused in the prequels which left everything looking too shiny and pristine. In Abrams's Star Wars one can see the scratches and the rust on the X-Wing fighters. This lends an element of realism to the movie.
